Aspen's first Easter and a little catch up

I have no idea why this picture uploaded this way but these are my pretty pink gerbers from Joe for our anniversary! We had a great "date night" evening together, dinner, The Office, and a movie date on the couch!

Getting ready for Easter! Aspen's Easter Dress and shoes and her basket. She got a new swimsuit, bubbles, some books, a new rubber ducky for the tub, and some stacker rings.

Friday evening enjoying some nice weather outside with the fam. These are the perfect evenings I want to remember forever. Roxy was loving the sunshine!
Aspen played in her bouncer while her daddy beat her momma at basketball in the driveway. I kept telling her to cheer for me, but she just kept on cheering for her daddy "dadadadadada!"

Teaching Aspen how to play ball!

Aspen and her daddy right before we went inside for the night.

Someone in our house has taken a big liking to graham crackers!!

Happy First Easter baby!
Check out her shiner - she fell down on the coffee table two days before.

Standing all by herself! Big news....Aspen took her first steps on Friday!!
We had a wonderful Easter together as a family!!

4 year Anniversary!

Four years ago today, I married my best friend and the love of my life. We had the best day ever, and have had a great marriage and life together too. I am so lucky to get to be married to my Joe. He is so loving, caring, and fun to be around - we laugh together constantly. AND he's a great daddy.
I woke up this morning and when I went to take Roxy outside there was a vase of pretty pink gerber daisies (my favorite) on the kitchen counter and a card. I love surprises and this was a great one! Little things like that are the best!!

Happy Anniversary Joe, I love you so much.

SPRING is here!

We have been loving the warmer weather outside.  We spent a lot of time outside this last weekend, and loved getting some much needed sunshine!

I just love this picture. We were having so much fun! Aspen was clapping her hands and laughing at Roxy. If you look closely you can see her two little bottom teeth! :)

Aspen - 8 Months

A little about what Aspen is up to at 8 months....

Weight - 19.8 lbs
Height - 26.5 inches (roughly - haha it's tough to measure a very busy little girl!)

Size 9 months clothes mostly. She still fits into some 6 months stuff and is now fitting into 12 months already too!
Size 3 diapers
Size 1 shoes - Aspen has tiny feet!

Sleep - We FINALLY got out of Aspen's little sleep strike phase and she is sleeping great now. It was a long month and a half! haha Not to mention we had 2 ear infections and teething that definitely contributed. She usually takes 2 naps a day, morning and afternoon and goes down for the night around 9:00. She will sleep until at least 6, and some mornings I have to wake her up to get her ready for the day!

Eating - My little girl loves to eat! She has tried almost every #2 baby food there is and liked most of them. She doesn't like green veggies or the chicken noodle soup baby food. She usually eats 4-5 6 oz bottles a day, oatmeal in the morning and baby food and/or yogurt for dinner. She loves strawberry yogurt!

Aspen is a VERY active little girl. She's crawling everywhere, pulling up on everything, and has now started to try to crawl up stuff. If I'm laying on the floor playing with her I am her new jungle gym! She plays very well with her toys, or with a make-shift toy (like a milk jug) haha. Anything that makes noise or that she can make noise with is even better. She loves to look at her books, and we're still working on sitting still long enough to actually read them.

Aspen still thinks Roxy is the coolest thing she's ever seen. She loves her so much and aways is smiling when she sees her. Roxy is still not so sure about her (it depends on the time of day - when we get home she loves her, before bed she's not so sure and I think tired of her). We always laugh and play when we get home so much together! I am looking forward to warmer weather and more walks outside with my girls!

Aspen can clap her hands and give fives. She learned to give kisses too! She's a very selective little girl with her kisses, but I love getting them when I do (even though they are a whole LOT of slobber!) We're working on waving and learning to sign.

Aspen recognizes the words mama, dada, roxy, bottle, no, peek a boo and yay! She also loves bath time (would stay in there all night if I would let her). She popped through her first tooth about a week and a half ago and her second one showed through her gums just this last weekend. Her little smile is so precious. She is so much fun. She makes me laugh and cracks me up everyday!

Check out my tooth! :)
