Aspen's first day of preschool

A few weeks ago, we found out that our daycare that we LOVE is closing.  Definitely shed some tears over that one- we love her provider and the kids she is with so we knew it was going to be an adjustment. We toured another in home daycare and just did not think it compared to the care and educational value she was getting out of her current daycare so we went and looked at preschool and decided to go that route with Aspen. Unfortunately this means that we will have to find different care for the baby when that time comes but for Aspen this was the best option so we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
She was so excited to get to wear her backpack today. We said a little prayer together this morning. Her friend Grace is going to her preschool part time and was there at drop off already so that made it a TON easier. She was a little uneasy at first but once she saw Grace, she was good to go. Grace came over to her and grabbed her hand and they went and started doing puzzles. She reached up and kissed me and said bye mommy! I can't wait to hear how her day went!

15 Weeks

15 Weeks (written 5/16/2013)

How far along? 15 Weeks

Maternity clothes? Mixing maternity and non-maternity.

Sleep? Pretty good. Getting up a few times in the night to go potty or mess with Aspen.

Best moment in the last 3 weeks? Drs appointment at 13 weeks went great. Got to hear this little babe’s heartbeat- strong at 170 bpm. Got some antibiotics for my sinus infection and now feeling a lot better. My energy is finally starting to come back which is amazing b/c I have so much more energy to play with Aspen in the evenings and don’t fall asleep building block towers with her at 7:00. haha

Miss anything? Not sure, starting to be able to enjoy this pregnancy. Maybe being able to wear my jeans?

Movement? Thought I might have felt a little movement a few times but nothing for sure yet. I felt Aspen at about 16 weeks.

Food cravings? Not really anything new…but in the last week watermelon! J

Anything making you queasy/sick? Blowing my nose still gags me almost every time.

Gender? Not yet, waiting on mid- June! My next dr apt is June 3 and we should be able to schedule the sono after that apt.

Labor Signs? Nope- “labor” will be a little different this time considering I will be having a planned c-section. We confirmed this with our dr at our last appointment.
Symptoms? Still get tired pretty easily (which I don’t think will probably go away) and if I get really worn out I start to feel queasy.

Belly button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On- hoping to get to leave them on the whole time this time as well, but we’ll see.

Happy or moody? Happy!

Looking forward to? Ran into a big fiasco with the house – while doing the windows we discovered that there is mold under 2 of them so now we get to rip out all the dry wall, insulation and some of the studs and replace them all to get rid of it before we can even do the windows. We’ve got out all the old nasty stuff, and rebuilt the studs in the wall. Windows are supposed to be done on Friday and they are going to finish up the walls on Saturday. I’m ready to be done with it and get Aspen into her room!

Daddy moment?   Same as last post- just how much he is helping out with Aspen and when he talks to our peanut before bed.

Big Sister moment? She says my belly is growing b/c the baby is eating all of my food. This has nothing to do with the baby but she’s started talking in her sleep- the other night she yelled out “no! mommy said I could have my gummy bears!” and then last night she was clearly having an argument with me in her sleep. haha
