Lisa's Wedding

This past weekend we were lucky enough to attend Lisa and Brian's wedding. Lisa is a girl I cheered with in college and her sister is Nicole, who is one of my best friends and was my maid of honor in my wedding. Lisa is just as sweet as can be. I am so very happy for her and Brian, it is amazing to see how in love they are and I wish them nothing but happiness!

We drove to Emporia after my tumbling classes Saturday morning and got to have lunch with my little sister at our favorite BBQ restaurant (they catered our wedding) - it did not disappoint! :) Then we hurried to go to the hotel, get checked in and get ready for the wedding. Their ceremony was beautiful. I always love weddings because its always a nice reminder of your own special day and the commitment that you have made yourself.  This was the first wedding that we've gone to since Aspen has been born so it reminded me of every Sunday when we're in church and I'm trying to keep her entertained and half way quiet!

Lisa looked A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! Such a pretty bride! After the wedding we went straight the reception, which was in her parents backyard and so pretty.  They had a photo booth set up where we took some silly pictures and got to talk to a few other people we had not seen in awhile. We stayed through dinner, speeches and first dances and then went to the hotel to put Aspen to bed. My mom came down with us to stay with her while we went back to the reception.

We had so much fun. We don't get out nearly as much as we should just the two of us. It was nice to know that Aspen was just sleeping so we weren't really missing any time with her.
And of course I loved getting to catch up with Nicole. We don't get to see each other that much since she's a resident in NJ and her schedule is super demanding, but everytime we get together it's like no time has passed and we just have a blast. I was so sad when the night was over and it was time to leave. Looking forward to seeing her again in a few months!
