We had a great weekend! Saturday I taught my last tumbling class of this Fall session. After that we went straight to the KU game. We played awesome the first quarter and then just threw it away for the rest of the game. I wish we could have kept it up and won the game, but we had fun anyway.
It was cold in the morning but by the time we got to the game it was warm in the sun and being the (usually) over -packed-prepared mom that I am, I didnt bring any sunscreen so I was worried about her gettting burned the whole time.
We tried to get her to wear daddy's hat during the game, and of course she did not want to but as soon as we got home she wouldn't take it off. She even wore it while she ate dinner.
Saturday afternoon we hung out at home while Aspen napped. We watched football, RELAXED, ate pizza and I even got a start on Aspen's halloween costume. The weather was beautiful so we enjoyed having the windows open and the breeze blowing through the house. We really enjoyed this since we are usually on the go so much, it doesn't seem like we get too many of these afternoons!
My sweet girl before Church Sunday morning. She looks so grown up in this picture! We went to breakfast after church and that was where she decided she didn't want to wear her bow anymore, so then her hair was just sticking straight up What About Mary? style. Oh well, she still looked adorable.
Sunday afternoon after naps and the Chiefs game (yeah for a win!) we did some cleaning. Aspen was thrilled to help! Let's hope she's this excited about it in a few years when she has chores....hey, I can dream right?
We made sure to get lots of play time in as well. She loves riding "momma's horsey" haha.
While dinner was baking in the oven, we went outside and played. I just love this pic of her little onery smile! I just wish this weather would be here forever!
I almost dyed laughing when I saw this. Back story - I was cleaning up in the bathroom and Aspen was getting in all the cabinets as usual. She found the drawer where I keep Roxy's "clothes". So she got one of her outfits out and I asked her if she wanted to dress up Roxy. "yeah, yeah, yeah" so we did and she was so excited about Roxy wearing a dress. So I took it off of her and put it away and didn't think anything else of it. Then I come out of the bathroom to find Aspen "dresssing" Roxy in some of my pj shorts that were in the laundry basket. She was so proud of herself, she started clapping when she got done putting them on her head. It was SOOO funny! I love my little clown, Aspen and was so proud of Roxy for letting her play.
